Saving from other apps

How do I save a link, video, text or photo from another app?

Open the thing you want to keep, tap Share, and choose Easy Remember.

  • iPhone: a small Easy Remember sheet opens on top of the app you’re in. Check the title, add a note about why you saved it, choose topics and importance, and tap Save. You stay in the other app.
  • Android: Easy Remember opens your new item, already saved, so you can adjust the title, note, topics and importance. Changes save automatically; go back when you’re done.
I don’t see Easy Remember in the share sheet (iPhone).

In the share sheet, scroll the row of app icons to the end and tap More. Turn on Easy Remember, and optionally drag it up to your favorites. Easy Remember accepts one link or web page, text, or one image per share.

I saved something on my iPhone, but it isn’t in my library yet.

Items saved from the share sheet are added the next time you open Easy Remember, with a short “Added … items” message. They are stored safely on your iPhone until then, even if you save many in a row or restart the phone.

Why is a link saved without a title or image?

Easy Remember reads the title and image from the website. Some sites, especially ones that require signing in, don’t share this information with apps. Then the link itself becomes the title, and you can edit it anytime. Also check Settings → Automatic link details: when it’s off, no details are fetched.

What happens if I share a link I already saved?

Easy Remember tells you it’s already saved. You can add your new note to the existing item or save it separately.

Topics and importance

How do topics and subtopics work?

Topics are like folders with an icon and a color. Each topic can have subtopics, one level deep. An item can belong to several topics at once. Create a topic from Library → Add → New topic, or directly while saving.

Why did the order of my topics change?

Topics you use most often and most recently move to the top, both in the Library and when choosing topics while saving. Topics you haven’t used yet are listed alphabetically. To fix a topic’s position, give it an Order number in Edit topic; numbered topics always come first.

What does “Auto” importance mean?

With Auto, a new item takes the importance of the first topic you choose, or Medium if you choose none. A topic’s own importance is calculated from the items in it, unless you set it yourself in Edit topic.

Finding things again

How do I find something I saved?

Open the Saved tab and type any word you remember — from the title, your note, the description or the original link. With an empty search you see all saved items, newest first; a red badge on the tab shows how many new saves you haven’t looked at yet. Use the High, Medium and Low filters and sort by priority, newest or oldest.

I removed something by mistake. Can I get it back?

Yes, for a while. Removed items and topics go to Settings → Recently removed, where you can restore them. They’re kept for 7 days by default; you can choose 1, 7, 30 or 90 days, or Never delete. After that, they’re permanently deleted when the app starts.

Can I undo an edit?

While editing an item, use the Undo and Redo buttons. Choose how long edits can be undone in Settings → Undo and redo history.

Easy Remember Pro and reminders

What is Easy Remember Pro?

An optional upgrade, available as a monthly subscription or a one-time Lifetime purchase. It adds Remind me for saved items and topics (once, every week or every month, also right from the share sheet on iPhone), Upcoming reminders, Daily rediscover, the Weekly review and App Lock with Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint or your passcode. Everything that is free stays free, with no ads.

How do I restore or cancel Pro?

On a new phone or after reinstalling, open Settings → Easy Remember Pro and tap Restore purchases, signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you bought it with. Cancel a monthly subscription in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or in Google Play (Profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google.

My reminders don’t arrive.

Allow notifications for Easy Remember in your phone’s settings, and check that Focus or Do Not Disturb isn’t hiding them. Reminders are scheduled on your device, so they work offline. On Android they can arrive a few minutes late because the system groups them to save battery. See all scheduled reminders in Settings → Upcoming reminders.

Privacy and your data

Where is my library stored?

On your device, inside the app. Easy Remember has no account and no cloud sync, and it doesn’t upload your notes, images or library to our servers or to any AI service.

What goes over the internet?
  • Link details: when you save a public link and Automatic link details is on, the app requests that web page (or YouTube’s public preview service) to read its title, description, image and icon. Your notes, topics and images are never sent with it.
  • Purchases: if you buy Pro, Apple or Google handles the payment, and RevenueCat checks it under a random, anonymous ID. No name, email or library content is sent.
  • Crash reports: technical only, never your content. Turn them off in Settings → Privacy → Share crash reports.

Full details are in the privacy policy.

How do I back up my library or move it to a new phone?

Export and import are not available yet. Your phone’s own backup (iCloud or Google backup, depending on your settings) may include the app’s data, but a complete restore isn’t guaranteed. Keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable.

How do I delete my data?

Remove items or topics in the app, then let Recently removed expire or delete them from there. To delete everything, uninstall the app: this removes the whole library from the device, but not copies held by your phone’s backup provider. Crash reports are deleted automatically by our error-monitoring provider after 30 days.

Still need help?

  • your device (for example, iPhone 15 or Pixel 8) and system version;
  • the Easy Remember version (shown on its App Store or Google Play page);
  • what you did, what you expected and what happened instead. A screenshot helps a lot.
